What I’ve Been Up To – Mixing!

Well finally I’ve got it together and started to update this site…

Since starting at the University of the West of England I’ve been keeping up my professional practise by mixing a few projects each year.

In order these are:

Natural History Museum films and interactive David Attenborough evolution film.

You can go and view these in the David Attenborough Studio in the Darwin Centre at the Natural History Museum, London.

The Human Planet ..

I mixed 3 of the 8 episodes (Thanks to Andrew Wilson of Red Six for mixing the one that clashed with the start of UWE Term) Mark Ferda of BBC Wales mixed the other half of the series.. BAFTA nominations all round!

Madagascar

A mini series on the amazing wildlife of Madagascar from Series Producer Mary Summerill …. great music by Sarah Class recorded in Cardiff with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales by my long time friend from music college days – Huw Thomas, seen here balancing the BBC NOW in Hoddinot Hall.

Orchestra conducted by another friend Liz Purnell … EMMY nomination for music and sound.

Great Barrier Reef

Mixed at Big Bang with Matt Coster mixing two of this three part series on the bio diverse eco system of this reef. James Brickell series produced this sumptuous series.

These projects and various days mixing filling in for ex colleagues on leave from the BBC have helped me keep my hand in and keep current.
